Dear reader, guess what? I am going on a cruise. My friends and children can't stop laughing. It's ludicrous, I hate leaving London. However, a cruise it is, and the good thing about it is I will dislike it so much I shall have to draw to console myself, which is the whole point of the exercise. I have won a Royal College of Art Award, based on my proposal and my drawings, and now, I must travel on a big ship, to draw the inhabitants. I will possibly get thrown overboard when people realise I am there not to look around, but to look at them, and when overboard I shall possibly meet some swimming immigrants, floating in the sea hoping they might, one day, if they are lucky, get to London, and they and I will commiserate with each other, whilst snacking on fish or seaweed, our toes getting wrinkled from too much immersion in sea water.
