Well, I dont know about you but I have enjoyed Sewel's comments on various politicians very much, an insider's view. I warmed to him.
Facile Cameron, Boris the twit, Blair the latent homosexual and Bush the idiot, all of this filmed with three little female toes on his lap, peeking out from under the table cloth.
I didn't enjoy him calling all asian women whores, I feel that let him down. As for his wife, if I had been given just a thousand pounds for every person I knew that cheated and lied to their partner, without remorse, I would now own at least two, if not three, flats on Dolphin Square. On the other hand, perhaps they had an agreement? 'Darling, I promise to turn your photo face down when I have the girls round'.
I love The Sun. This is the second juicy tit bit they have offered in a week!
I have been concerned that i wont be able to sit through my design and culture studies lectures in the autumn.
The RCA is used to artists and designers having special needs, usually dyslexia, I was summoned for a light test and when found to be slightly dodgy was promptly carted off to have 'real' tests. The results were as expected, but as yet no nice little label on my forehead to ensure I dont look downright rude when I walk out every time I am under stimulated. Apparently I must now visit another specialist who deals with people that can't find it in themselves to put up with boredom.
Angela Merkel has been criticised for reducing a young refugee to tears after telling her some refugees will have to go back.
"I would like to go to university," the girl told the Chancellor in fluent German at the forum in Rostock. "It’s very unpleasant to see how other people can enjoy life and I can’t myself. I don't know what my future will bring." She wants to educate herself and what does Merkel do? Explains that she can't.
My blood boils. This is akin to shutting one's door on a starving man and happily returning to one's heaving dinner table. The inhumanity is breathtaking.
As I watched Yanis Varoufakis, now ex Minister of Finance of Greece, I pondered on how differently I felt in comparison to my apathetic response to Cameron, Miliband and Clegg's efforts a couple of months ago. A person that says what he thinks and sticks to it is a rare thing, let alone a politician that does so. I couldn't understand why he was different, I imagined it was the passionate Greek heritage, a sun drenched people, steeped in olive oil and hospitality, and then I did some research. No, an academic, thrust into politics at a particular time, he hadn't yet learnt to lie too well and didn't have the required temperament for empty, vacuous, patronising rhetoric. What a shame he's gone, I shall miss the irreverence.
