Having decided there is nothing to be done bar try to adjust, I hide in drawing. I miss my studio and my cat, peace and quiet, the ability to work fourteen hours a day straight through, no one caring what I am up to, no one talking to me, no one looking at me, no one trying to have a chat. It stops the confusion, helps me get through times when I have to sit still, gives me something to focus on when I want to scream, or cry, or both, and even produces ideas for the next piece of work. P.s. What about Corbyn eh? There's a situation and a half...
What a nightmare situation. I still can't quite work out why France is being targeted. I hear that there has been similar ISIS incidents in Syria this week too but we don't hear about those as loudly. I hope to goodness there isn't an ugly backlash born of fear.
I have decided not to do politics at the RCA at all from now on, it isn't an environment that tolerates too much difference of political opinion in reality. Certainly, one must be politically correct, which is a skill I haven't ever had to learn.
