Like every professional artist, my work is unique and can't be replicated. Having said that, design considerations are paramount. The work needs to fit in within your setting and needs to give you pleasure and satisfaction for many years. Indeed, the beauty of Art is that it immortalises the sitter(s) and takes on a life of its own forever.

The work will be made with much reflection and consideration about what you want to live with.

Commissioning a painting or drawing is a simple process, we have an initial chat, I give you prices based on size and ideas about what you would like the work to be like. We make an agreement, I then get to work. When the work is finished it is delivered ready to hang.

I live in London but travel across the UK for work. I’m available for exhibitions, residencies and commissions. Interested in comissioning me? Please get in touch. I aim to respond within two working days.

Award-Winning Artist Christy Burdock Creates Dreamlike Works that Capture Stories

If you would like a portrait, the process is simple, contact Christy - wherever you live - to have a chat about who you want her to draw or paint and when you need your art work for. After that we can make a booking. We are now taking bookings for Christmas.
Christy Burdock is an award-winning artist who specialises in dream-like group and individual portraits that capture the essence of people and their animals. Drawing from immersive research into communities, place, and identity, Christy creates personalized and meaningful works with a hint of humour. With a commitment to representing the uniqueness of her clients, her work goes beyond a likeness to offer a reflection of the true identity of the people she portrays. She spends much of her time in the National Portrait Gallery researching, but works across the UK and makes work to suit you, from large to small.

Through her process, Christy Burdock works closely with each client, ensuring that the final portrait not only captures the likeness but also reflects deeper aspects of their identity. Her portrait commissions focus on creating art that speaks to each subject's personal story, and her research-based approach makes every portrait unique and deeply significant.
